You know what really, really irks me? Getting $28 back for a textbook I spent $170 on less than 1 year ago. How is this fair? It is a college chemistry book, in better than used condition, no markings/highlighting/page folding. How completely disgusting that online resellers (amazon, betterworldbooks, etc.) take such advantage of students who are simply trying to get a little money back to pay for the next round of educational hardware. And then there’s the books that are 2 or more years old that apparently have no value at all. Go figure. I’ve now got a stack of apparently useless ISBNS moonlighting as doorstops and woodstove kindling.
